Can you believe it is the end of August? August started out hot and humid but luckily it settled down and is less humid now. August is also National Wellness Month. The month where we concentrate on helping ourselves and others feel better. Mentally and physically.
Working with the senior community, we can start with gentle movement, mindfulness and art therapy. Then move onto nutrition, emotional well-being, social engagement and so much more. Here at TASS we want to help everyone make the most of their time helping their loved ones feel better and live a better quality of life. We have a wealth of knowledge and would LOVE to share it with you!!
Please take a look at our website www.tassgroup.org to see if any of our TASS skilled professionals could have the answers you are looking for!
But without further ado, for our August 2025 newsletter, TASS is proud to share our member/business of the month, Donna Occhipinti from Visiting Physician!!
House Calls Make Life Easier
Remember the days when doctors made house calls? They still do! Visiting Physician Services, part of the Parker Advanced Care Institute at VNA Health Group, has been making house calls to older adults and homebound patients for over 30 years. Our mission is to enable patients to stay at home as they age with an improved quality of life. House calls also help ease the stress on both caregiver and patient providing peace of mind and more quality time. They also help reduce hospital and emergency room visits.
Comprehensive Care
Our comprehensive care includes physical exams, managing chronic conditions, medication management, wound care, in-home diagnostic testing, Telehealth and much more. Visiting Physician works closely with other home care and visiting specialists including visiting podiatrists, dentists, audiologists, optometrists, durable medical companies, physical/occupational therapy, behavioral health counseling, visiting nurse services and hospice care.
If you or a loved one has difficulty getting to the doctor, consider calling the doctor who comes to you.
We accept Medicare, Horizon, Braven, Wellpoint, Aetna and WellCare insurances. Our coverage area includes Bergen, Passaic, Essex, Union, Middlesex, eastern Somerset, Monmouth and Ocean Counties. For more information call 732-571-1000, email us at info@visiting-physician.com or visit vnahg.org/vps
